Bilbao Yesterday & Today

Exclusive Guided Tour

The new Bilbao has reborn from the industrial ashes that once the city used to be. Getting to understand the milestones of its transformation, will be part of this walk, accompanied with history, our most recent history and traditions of our beloved “Botxo”, including pintxos time to enjoy this amazing food knowing why and how the locals do it to become a true “bilbaino”.

This walk will be centered on the importance of the Nervión River in the development of the city. From the “medieval Villa” (founded in the year 1300); then the “commercial Villa” (after the establishment of its Consulate in 1511); then, since the end of the XIX century, it was the proud regional “industrial city”, and now the new “postindustrial Bilbao” reborn from the ashes of its industrial ruins.

Pintxos time will take you to our selection of bars, away from tourist traps, to discover what this tradition means to the locals while you enjoy the fantastic gastronomy of the city.
