Trekking through the Wolves’ path, along an awesome “off the beaten path” route that has been designated suitable for all walkers, to the magnificent Nervion Fall, the highest waterfall in Spain. Discover the ancient City of Orduña, the only city that holds such a title in Bizkaia and as an option, you can take the historical walk through the profile of the mountain, up to Mount San Pedro’s trenches, the best preserved Civil War landscape in the Basque Country. We start the trekking route (Nordic Walking option) starting from Ulle Gorri “with our boots on” to walk through the Wolves´path.
This is an “off the beaten path” route that runs at the edge of the sierra through spectacular landscapes that will take us to Nervión’s source, passing through the unknown and mysterious Gibijo’s wolfhound.
Following the course of the river we will finally arrive to the impressive Nervión Fall. After heavy rains or during the (Spring) thaw, the waterfall, which plunges into the Delika Canyon from more than 220 meters, the highest in Spain, is very impressive. And although for several months it does not carry water, the route and the landscapes are just as spectacular.
We will discover Mount Santiago, avoiding the busiest areas, through the beautifully paved forest.

Leaving “With our boots on” from the Baserri Ulle Gorri, we begin our route through grassland paths that run along stone walls and across paths with magnificent views of the Sierra Salvada, Orduña and the Arrastaria Valley.
The quiet path along the sea of meadows, crosses a gallery forest on the edge of the mountain’s profile. The path takes us to the recently excavated trenches of San Pedro Mountain, in one of the best preserved Spanish Civil War landscapes in the Basque Country. It has preserved the same incredible landscape than 80 years ago.

The visit to the Historical Center of Vitoria-Gasteiz, declared a Monumental Complex in 1997, and which has received numerous awards, will take us to places where history seems to have stood still.
It retains intact its medieval layout in the form an almond, which was given more than 8 centuries ago, when Sancho VI “El Sabio” founded the town.

Ulle Gorri is a beautiful basque farmhouse, situated in an ideal location to explore The Land of the Basques with a small group of friends and/or family. The house is rented entirely and exclusively for the group.
“Baserri” or “caserío” is a traditional basque farmhouse. Ulle Gorri has been specifically restored recovering old original materials, to give the house a unique personality that seduces our guests. The restored antique furniture, the magnificent doors and the precious earthen pottery, which belonged to an ancient palace in the area, make Ulle Gorri a very special place to rest and enjoy.
Great location: less than 20 minutes from Vitoria, 40 minutes from Bilbao and La Rioja and only an hour and 15 minutes from Donosti (San Sebastián) or Pamplona and with easy access just 10 minutes away from the motorway exit.
It has a large living room with a fireplace, a beautiful kitchen and 5 double bedrooms with 4 bathrooms distributed across two floors. On the lower floor a bedroom with a double bed and an ensuite bathroom. On the upper floor a suite with a double bed, a bathroom and a small hallway, a bedroom with two single beds and an ensuite bathroom and then two double rooms with two single beds. The rooms on the top floor have views over the countryside.

The landscapes surrounding the hamlet are flat and allow for a spectacular panoramic view of the mountains that surround it. Between gorges, the lands settle down creating a gigantic meadow with a mosaic of walls grids organizing a beautiful drawing of pastures. A Sea of Meadows, with excellent paths for Nordic Walking and trekking, unning through a corridor of stone walls, between horses and flocks of Latxa sheep. It’s a privileged environment, surrounded by three natural spaces of the Natura 2000 Network: Gorbea Natural Park, Arkamo-Gibijo-Arrastaria mountain ranges and the Oak Forests of Urkabustaiz.
Around 160 pairs of vultures nest on the edges of the Arrastaria.
It is common to see watch vultures, kites, herons, storks and many other birds. In addition to roe deer, badgers, foxes, etc.
