Ulle Gorri caters to a variety of travelers with two distinct lodging options:
- Etxea: Ideal for small groups up to 12 people, Etxea provides ample space for a comfortable group getaway.
- Sasibil Rural Studios: Our Sasibil studios offer cozy accommodations for couples or smaller groups.
- Sasibil 1: Perfect for 2 guests.
- Sasibil 2: This studio is specially adapted for guests with reduced mobility and can comfortably accommodate 2-3 people.
Why is Ulle Gorri a sustainable accommodation?
Ulle Gorri, has a management policy based on an environmental strategy.
We have an action program in which we annually set environmental improvement objectives and annually perform evaluations to measure the degree of environmental performance.
Among the environmental actions carried out are the following:
DECALOGUE OF GOOD SUSTAINABLE PRACTICES:
ENERGY:
We encourage the use of renewable energy through a biomass boiler (firewood),
We consume 100% renewable energy.
We have energy efficient LED lighting.
GREEN PURCHASE:
We have green purchasing criteria, such as the acquisition of energy efficient and hydraulically efficient equipment.
Organic products are offered to the customer, such as food and non-food products (paper, coorporal gels, hand gels and cleaning products).
WASTE:
We avoid the generation of waste, using products that are presented in a dispenser instead of single-dose containers.
We separate the waste for later recycling. The customer has selective waste separation containers in the kitchen for paper-cardboard, glass, packaging, rest fraction.
WATER:
We control the flow of water from taps and showers to avoid wasting water.
We avoid wasting water, making selective irrigation.
SUSTAINABLE TRANSPORT
We encourage the use of sustainable transport to the client, through the use of public transport.

Etxea for small groups
Rural house restored with original and old materials, with 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms with capacity for 6 to 12 persons (with 2 extra beds) for exclusively use for the group.

“Etxea”, which means house in Euskera, has been specifically restored recovering old original materials, to give the home a unique personality that seduces our guests. The restored antique furniture, the magnificent doors and the precious earthen pottery, which belonged to an ancient palace in the area, make Etxea at Ulle Gorri a very special place to rest and enjoy.
The stone house , with capacity of maximum 12 people, can also be rented partially, from 1 room to its 5 rooms depending on its availability. Check with us your dates and we will discuss the rental options
It has a large living room with a fireplace, a beautiful kitchen and 5 double bedrooms with 4 bathrooms distributed across two floors. On the lower floor a bedroom with a double bed and an ensuite bathroom. On the upper floor a suite with a double bed, a bathroom and a small hallway, a bedroom with two single beds and ensuite bathroom and then two double rooms with two single beds. The rooms on the top floor have views over the countryside.
Both the interior of the house and the outdoor area with a fantastic meadow with fruit trees and a flower garden, are equipped to allow your mind and body to rest and to be able to enjoy everything without stress: listening to music with a selection of CDs, read books or magazines and take a look at maps and tourist information of the area. TV and free WiFi are available.
There is an exterior parking area for 3-4 cars.
Ulle Gorri is a special place for the Fine Arts: there are actually some nice pieces from MH Art Gallery in Bilbao and impressionist photographs by Ana that adorn the walls.
Unfortunately, Etxea is not adapted to people with reduced mobility, although we have special ramp that allow the access to the interior with a wheelchair. Sasibil is adapted.

Cancellation policy:
In case of booking cancellation a penalty percentage will be applied, depending on the time the booking is canceled.
0% cancellation before 30 days, except for bank charges if any.
30% cancellation from 30 to 15 days.
50% cancellation from 14 to 7 days.
100% cancellation with 7 days or less.

Beautiful and cozy rural studio, with fire, adapted for people with reduced mobility, built in the farmhouse´s old cabin with capacity for 2 people and with an additional sofa bed.

Sasibil 1 is a rural studio adapted for people with reduced mobility, of 38m2, built in the old cabin of Ulle Gorri Baserria, with capacity for 2 people and a sofa bed for an additional people.
It´s a unique space, very bright and with large windows, decorated with much charm.
It has a large bed of 1.90 X 150 with viscoelastic mattress, comfortable sofa bed of 1.60X 1.80, wood stove to enjoy the magic of fire, central heating by biomass, a well equipped kitchen with vitroceramic hob, refrigerator and washing machine.
The bathroom is totally adapted with a eautiful floor level, rain type shower and a bath wheelchair.
Art also has its place creating a fantastic atmosphere to rest and relax. You will also find a selection of books, magazines and tourist information of the area and the Basque Country. Wifi and bluetooth speaker available.
Through the large window, you can enjoy beautiful views of the private garden with garden furniture , which is accessed from the studio.

Ulle Gorri Baserria is an old basque farmhouse, located in a privileged environment in the Basque Mountains. It´s surrounded by a beautiful sea of green meadows throughout the year, in the foothills of the mythical Gorbeia Mountain, near the beech forest of Altube and the Gujuli waterfall and it´s also the closest accommodation, only a short walking distance, to the Salto del Nervión, the highest waterfall in Spain. There are innumerable activities to do during your stay with us.
Great location: less than 20 minutes from Vitoria, 40 minutes from Bilbao and La Rioja and only an hour and 15 minutes from Donosti (San Sebastián) or Pamplona and with easy access just 10 minutes away from the motorway exit.
Ulle Gorri Baserria is part of the small village of Apregindana, with only 3 hamlets, very quiet and with sensational views. They are flat and high landscapes, which allow a spectacular panoramic view of the mountains and mountains that surround it. The paths are excellent for Nordic Walking and Hiking and run through meadows through corridors of ancient dry stone walls (Unesco Heritage), with horses pottoka (local horses) and flocks of sheep Latxa ( local sheeps), from where the excellent Idiazabal cheese from the area comes from.
The farmhouse has a beautiful field of fruit trees, with outdoor garden furniture to enjoy the nature at its most, with hammocks and place to sit to enjoy the sunset.
The sunrise and the sunsets from the farmhouse are spectacular.
The farmhouse is surrounded by three natural spaces of the Natura 2000 network: Gorbea Natural Park, Arkamo-Gibijo-Arrastaria mountain ranges and the oak woods of Urkabustaiz. It´s a magnificent enclave for birdwatching : around 160 pairs of vultures nest on the walls of Arrastaria and it is one of the few places where Royal Kites can be watched in a great number. In spring there are also a multitude of herons and storks that come to find food in the meadows that surround the village.
The Gorbea Natural Park is the largest in the Autonomous Community of the Basque Country. The Natural Park is a space that has special protection due to its ecological value and beauty. The great diversity of species of flora and fauna, and the elements linked to the presence of human activity over time, are the protagonists of these places, which bring together an outstanding ecological and cultural heritage.
The Gorbea Natural Park holds within it an endless number of natural and cultural treasures. A network of trails – some starting on the Alava side and others on the Biscayan side – allow the hiker to discover the beautiful landscapes of this protected area, watch its flora and fauna and also appreciate the traditions and culture of the human beings who inhabited and still inhabit this territory. The most typical excursion is the ascent to the famous Cross.

Hemos estado un fin de semana varios amigos. La casa es muy bonita y cómoda, con un entorno precioso. Una casa restaurada con encanto, rural pero con todo tipo de comodidades. La ubicación perfecta, teniendo cerca Bilbao, Vitoria… Ana e Iñaki encantadores, una pareja que tiene mucho que enseñar ofreciendo rutas para poder disfrutar de la naturaleza. Sin ninguna duda recomendable 100%, para volver.

Hemos estado dos noches en Ulle Gorri y nos ha encantado la experiencia. Es un caserío muy amplio y acogedor al que se le ha hecho una reforma preciosa, que manteniendo el estilo rural, tiene todas las comodidades. La ubicación de Ulle Gorri es ideal ya que está a pocos kilómetros de Vitoria, Bilbao y la Rioja Alavesa, lo que permite hacer excursiones y volver a descansar, rodeado por la bella naturaleza vasca.
